Terms and conditions

Status: 16 October 2026. The German version is authoritative.

1. Scope and provider

These terms apply to all contracts for the use of Meteor-AI between the provider and its users. The provider is zuber-management, sole proprietorship, owner Patrick Zuber, Eschelbacher Str. 46, 69242 Mühlhausen, Germany, email info@meteor-ai.com, VAT ID DE357051443 (imprint).

Deviating terms of users do not apply unless the provider expressly agrees to them.

2. Subject of the service

Meteor-AI is a web application through which users send requests to third-party language and image models and manage the answers — in chats, assistants, flows, HTML apps and a library. The models are connected through an intermediary service; which models are available may change.

The answers are generated by the models automatically. The provider owes neither their correctness nor their completeness nor their suitability for a particular purpose. Anyone using answers checks them themselves.

Notice under Art. 50 of the AI Act. Meteor-AI is an AI system. Anyone chatting is talking to a language model, not to a human. Answers, images and HTML apps are artificially generated by AI models.

Meteor-AI runs in the browser and needs no installation. It requires an up-to-date browser with JavaScript enabled and an internet connection.

3. Account, conclusion of contract and access

Use requires an account. Adults resident in the European Economic Area or in Switzerland can register. The details given at registration must be accurate; the email address is confirmed before the account can be used.

3.1 Conclusion of contract. Anyone who fills in the sign-up form and clicks Konto erstellen (create account) offers to conclude a contract for the Free plan. The contract is concluded when the email address is confirmed via the link in the confirmation email. Pro, Ultimate and, after approval by the provider, Enterprise are chosen in the application under Abo & Zahlung (subscription & payment) and concluded on Stripe's payment page. That page shows plan, price and payment method; the contract is concluded by clicking the button to pay.

3.2 Checking and correcting input. Until clicking Konto erstellen, all details in the form can be checked and changed; on Stripe's payment page, until clicking the button to pay. From the payment page, the arrow at the top left leads back to the application without concluding a contract.

3.3 Contract text and language. The provider stores the contract text. The current version of these terms is on this page and can be printed or saved; the provider sends earlier versions by email on request. The contract language is German; the English version is for information only.

Access data must be kept secret. One account per person is permitted. In case of misuse, in particular a breach of clause 5, the provider may block an account.

4. Plans, prices and payment

4.1 Plans. There are four plans:

  • Free — free of charge. A one-off starter credit of €2.00 for a fixed selection of small models. Once it is used up, continuing requires switching to a paid plan. On switching to a paid plan, any remaining starter credit expires.
  • Pro — €20.00 per billing period (one month). All models; usage worth €10.00 is included per period. Unused included usage expires at the end of the period. Beyond that, topped-up credit is used (clause 4.4).
  • Ultimate — €60.00 per billing period (one month). All models; usage worth €40.00 is included per period. Unused included usage expires at the end of the period. Beyond that, topped-up credit is used (clause 4.4).
  • Enterprise — price on request: a base fee per user and billing period, the amount of which the provider states with the approval and which is shown on Stripe's payment page, in advance; plus the actual usage, which is charged at the end of the period (clause 4.5). One account is one user. Enterprise is available only on request and after approval by the provider.

What a single request costs depends on the model and its size and can be seen per request in the application under Statistics.

4.2 Payment. Payments are processed by the payment service provider Stripe. The price of the plan, on Enterprise the base fee, is collected from the stored payment method at the start of each period. Stripe issues invoices on behalf of the provider; they are available in the customer portal. If a collection fails, use is suspended until the payment is made.

4.3 Value added tax. All prices are final prices. For turnover taxable in Germany the small-business rule under § 19 UStG applies; to that extent VAT is neither charged nor shown. If VAT is due for services to consumers in another EU member state, it is included in the final price.

4.4 Credit. On the Pro and Ultimate plans, credit can be topped up, at least €5.00 per top-up. Topped-up credit does not expire. It is used once the included usage of the period is used up. Unused topped-up credit is refunded on request at any time (Pay out credit under Subscription & payment) and automatically when the account is deleted. Refunds go to the payment method of the top-up; where that is no longer possible, by bank transfer. Starter credit and included usage are not refunded. On switching to Enterprise, existing credit is set off against the next Enterprise invoice.

4.5 Billing of usage on Enterprise. Each request is recorded at its actual cost. The total for a period is rounded once to whole cents and collected with the invoice after the end of the period. To protect both sides, the provider may set a usage limit per account. Once it is reached, use is suspended until the provider raises it; users are then informed.

4.6 Changing plans. Switching from Pro to Ultimate takes effect immediately: a new billing period starts with it, Ultimate is charged in full, and the unused part of Pro is credited — pro rata by the time remaining in the Pro period, but at most by the share of included usage not yet used. Switching from Ultimate to Pro and from Pro or Ultimate to Enterprise takes effect at the end of the current period; until then it can be cancelled in the application. From Free, Enterprise starts after approval with the purchase on Stripe's payment page. The only way back from Enterprise is cancellation (clause 7). Topped-up credit is kept with every switch, except when switching to Enterprise (clause 4.4).

5. Users' obligations and rights in content

5.1 Obligations. Through Meteor-AI, users may in particular not

  • generate, distribute or enter unlawful content,
  • enter third parties' personal data without a legal basis,
  • enter third parties' trade secrets or copyrighted works without authorisation,
  • query the service automatically in large volumes or circumvent its protection mechanisms,
  • breach the acceptable use policy.

The acceptable use policy forms part of these terms. It sets out what is not allowed through Meteor-AI, which labelling obligations under the AI Act lie with users and how breaches are reported. In case of a breach, the provider may block the account and terminate the contract for good cause.

5.2 Rights in content. Input, uploaded files and results belong to the users, to the extent that rights exist in them; the provider acquires no rights in them. Users grant the provider only what it needs to provide the service: to store them for the term of the contract, to transmit them to the chosen model and to display them. The provider does not warrant whether a result is protected by any right or whether it infringes third-party rights; similar results may also be produced for other users. Users are themselves responsible for their input and for how they use the results.

6. Availability

The provider strives for high availability but does not owe uninterrupted availability. Where possible, maintenance is announced in advance. Outages of the connected services — the intermediary service and the model providers — are outside the provider's sphere of influence.

7. Term, termination and deleting the account

Pro, Ultimate and Enterprise each run for one billing period and renew for a further period unless cancelled. Users cancel at any time in the customer portal (Subscription & payment) or without signing in via Cancel contracts here, effective at the end of the current period. After that the Free plan applies; topped-up credit is kept.

The provider may terminate with one month's notice to the end of a period. The right of both sides to terminate for good cause remains unaffected.

Users can delete their account in the settings at any time. A running subscription then ends immediately; a paid period is not refunded pro rata. On Enterprise, the usage incurred up to that point is billed. Topped-up, unused credit is refunded. Chats, library and files are deleted together with the account.

Data export and switching providers. Users can download all data of their account as a ZIP file at any time and free of charge under Einstellungen → Daten & Konto → Daten exportieren (settings → data & account → export data). Which data this covers, the format in which it is delivered and which data is excluded are described on the page Data export and switching providers; it forms part of these terms. For switching to another provider or to on-premises systems (Art. 23 et seq. of the Data Act):

  • The switch is announced by email; no notice period applies.
  • For up to 30 days after the notice, the service continues unchanged and the provider supports the transfer with information. Users may extend this transition once.
  • After that, the data remains retrievable for at least 30 further days; a cancelled subscription moves to the Free plan for this purpose.
  • Then the provider deletes the account with all exportable data, unless a legal obligation to retain it applies, and confirms this by email. The contract ends with the deletion. Anyone who deletes the account themselves before then thereby requests immediate erasure.
  • Export and switching are free of charge.

8. Withdrawal notice for consumers

Right of withdrawal

You have the right to withdraw from this contract within fourteen days without giving any reason. The withdrawal period is fourteen days from the day the contract is concluded.

To exercise your right of withdrawal, you must inform us (zuber-management, Patrick Zuber, Eschelbacher Str. 46, 69242 Mühlhausen, Germany, phone +49 151 59121514, email info@meteor-ai.com) of your decision to withdraw from this contract by an unequivocal statement (e.g. a letter sent by post or an email). You may use the model withdrawal form below, but this is not obligatory. You can also declare your withdrawal using the Withdraw from contract button; we will then confirm receipt by email without delay. To meet the withdrawal deadline, it is sufficient for you to send your communication concerning your exercise of the right of withdrawal before the withdrawal period has expired.

Effects of withdrawal

If you withdraw from this contract, we shall reimburse to you all payments received from you without undue delay and in any event not later than fourteen days from the day on which we are informed about your decision to withdraw from this contract. We will carry out such reimbursement using the same means of payment as you used for the initial transaction, unless you have expressly agreed otherwise; in any event, you will not incur any fees as a result of such reimbursement.

If you requested to begin the performance of services during the withdrawal period, you shall pay us an amount which is in proportion to what has been provided until you have communicated to us your withdrawal from this contract, in comparison with the full coverage of the contract.

9. Warranty and liability

The statutory rights for defects apply, for consumers the provisions on digital products (§§ 327 et seq. of the German Civil Code, BGB). For damages, the two following paragraphs apply.

The provider is liable without limitation for intent and gross negligence, for injury to life, body or health, under the Product Liability Act and to the extent of a guarantee given.

For slightly negligent breach of an essential contractual obligation — an obligation whose fulfilment makes proper performance of the contract possible in the first place and on whose observance users may regularly rely — liability is limited to the typical, foreseeable damage. Otherwise liability for slight negligence is excluded.

10. Changes to these terms

The provider may change these terms and the prices with effect for the future. Changes are announced by email at least six weeks before they take effect. Until then, users may cancel with effect from the date of the change; the announcement points this out. Current billing periods remain unaffected.

11. Final provisions

The law of the Federal Republic of Germany applies, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. For consumers, this choice of law applies only insofar as it does not deprive them of the protection of mandatory provisions of the state in which they habitually reside.

The provider is neither obliged nor willing to take part in dispute resolution proceedings before a consumer arbitration board.

Should a provision be invalid, the remaining provisions remain effective.
