Acceptable use policy

Status: 12 October 2026. The German version is authoritative.

This policy forms part of the terms and conditions (clause 5). It applies to everything users enter, upload, generate or store in the library through Meteor-AI — chats, images, assistants, flows and HTML apps. Terms such as “provider” and “users” have the same meaning as in the terms.

1. Prohibited content and purposes

Through Meteor-AI, it is not allowed to

  • generate, search for or enter depictions of child sexual abuse or sexualised depictions of minors, in any form,
  • generate sexual or intimate depictions of real people without their consent,
  • incite violence or terrorism, threaten or harass people, or demean them because of their origin, religion, gender, disability, age or sexual identity,
  • create instructions for chemical, biological, radiological or nuclear weapons, for explosives or for manufacturing weapons,
  • develop malware, attack or spy on IT systems without permission, or carry out phishing or spam,
  • commit fraud, forge documents, impersonate another person or spread disinformation intended to influence elections,
  • infringe third parties' copyrights, trademarks, personality rights or trade secrets,
  • process personal data without a legal basis, or monitor or track people or covertly build profiles of them,
  • otherwise break applicable law.

2. Prohibited AI practices

Meteor-AI must not be used for practices prohibited by Art. 5 of the AI Act, in particular not to

  • use subliminal, manipulative or deceptive techniques to make people behave in a way that significantly harms them,
  • exploit vulnerabilities of people due to their age, a disability or their social or economic situation,
  • assess people by their social behaviour or personality and disadvantage them as a result (social scoring),
  • predict, based solely on a profile, whether a person will commit a crime,
  • scrape facial images untargeted from the internet or from video footage to build facial recognition databases,
  • infer the emotions of people in the workplace or in educational institutions, except for medical or safety reasons,
  • categorise people on the basis of biometric data by origin, political opinion, trade union membership, religious belief, sex life or sexual orientation.

3. No use for high-risk decisions

Meteor-AI is not a high-risk AI system within the meaning of the AI Act and is not built for that purpose. Users must not use it to assess, select or make decisions about people in the areas listed in Annex III of the AI Act — for example hiring, promotion or dismissal, creditworthiness, pricing of life or health insurance, access to education or public benefits, law enforcement, migration and asylum, or the administration of justice.

Results do not replace legal, medical, tax or financial advice from professionals. Anyone relying on them for decisions with such consequences checks them or has them checked.

4. Labelling artificially generated content

The AI Act (Art. 50(4)) also places obligations on users:

  • Anyone who uses Meteor-AI to generate images, videos or audio that deceptively resemble real people, objects, places or events (deepfakes) and publishes or shares them discloses that they have been artificially generated or manipulated. For evidently artistic, satirical or fictional works, a notice that does not hamper the display is sufficient.
  • Anyone who publishes text generated with Meteor-AI to inform the public on matters of public interest discloses that it was artificially generated — unless a human has reviewed it editorially and holds editorial responsibility for it.

Markings that models or Meteor-AI apply to results, such as metadata or watermarks in images, must not be removed or falsified in order to conceal the origin of content.

5. Technical limits

It is also not allowed to

  • query, scrape or overload the service automatically in large volumes,
  • circumvent protective measures of Meteor-AI or of the models, such as usage limits, the country check at sign-up or the models' safety filters,
  • share an account with others or resell access to third parties,
  • use results to develop or train AI models that compete with those of the connected model providers,
  • decompile the application or investigate how it works, except where the law expressly permits it.

6. Reporting breaches

Anyone who comes across unlawful content or breaches of this policy reports them by email to info@meteor-ai.com. A report should contain:

  • why the content is unlawful or breaches the policy,
  • where it is located, as precisely as possible,
  • the name and email address of the person reporting — except for depictions of child sexual abuse,
  • a statement that the information is accurate and complete to the best of their knowledge.

The provider confirms receipt, reviews the report promptly and carefully and informs the reporting person of its decision. It passes information on criminal offences that threaten the life or safety of people to the law enforcement authorities.

7. Measures in case of breaches

The connected models may refuse requests or stop answers if these breach their own safety rules; the provider has no influence on this.

If the provider learns of a breach, it may, depending on its severity, block or delete the content concerned, suspend the account temporarily or terminate the contract for good cause (terms clauses 5.1 and 7). It chooses the mildest measure that suffices and takes into account the rights and legitimate interests of everyone involved. The person concerned is told by email which measure was taken and why, unless the law prohibits this. They may object by email within six months; the provider then reviews the decision again. Recourse to the courts remains open.

8. Changes

Clause 10 of the terms applies to changes to this policy.
